"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." (Is. 53:5)

Mountain of God
The song below is the song that caused me to fall in love with Third Day's music. I have seen so many comments under this song on You Tube of people describing how this song carried them through while they overcame addictions and/or went through hardships. Some even said that this song caused them to be a Christian!
I don't know about you, but there are plenty of decisions I have made as a Christian that I made simply by faith. I don't know if I would have chosen particular roads in and of my own desires. No, in fact, I KNOW there are some roads I would have NEVER chosen in and of my own desires.
Nevertheless, when faced with decisions, after you go down the line of "What does God think about this?" "What does the bible say about this?" "Which way does it seem like God is leading me based on my prayers and experience with him?" and/or seeking godly counsel, you have to make a decision. The decision can be based on faith in God or fear of failure.
So, I try my best to go the faith in God route, even though some of those decisions have been hard. Some of them, I have made and lived out, and am living out, while still fighting fear and doubt.
Still, even in the hardest of times, God has shown me that he is with me. So much so, that the wonder of it all makes it hard to even explain it. Have you been there?
The comfort of knowing that no matter what is going on, that my loving, all-powerful God is in it with me, is enough to help me stay on the road. And, the wonder of how God reveals this, even at the darkest of hours, is what this song makes me think about. I hope it does that for you too!

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. (Psalm 23:4, NLT)

Born Again
The song playing on the video below is called Born Again and is on the most recent album from Third Day. Not only do I love this song, but I enjoyed the various pictures of people being baptized from the creator of this You Tube clip as well.
It brings back wonderful memories. Ah...nothing quite like that born-again experience, is it?
It brings back wonderful memories. Ah...nothing quite like that born-again experience, is it?
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again (John 3:3-7).

In the mood for a little...
...praise and worship?
There's nothing like a little praise and worship music playing behind the daily noise of dishes banging, children playing, and dinner cooking!
The video below is of the artists from the Glory Revealed record. They are singing an awesome version of Mighty to Save on TBN.
Artists include: Candi Pearson, Mac Powell (from Third Day;) and Shane and Shane.
The chorus says,

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
Had a rough day? Go ahead and push play. Then turn up the volume, lift your hands, sing along, and worship Him right in the middle of the kitchen! You'll feel better.

Third Day Concert at Alexian Field ~ Schaumburg, IL
We spent a little time in the parking lot preparing Noah for his very first concert!

He didn't look so sure about it.

But, I assured him it would be awesome:)

This event actually served as a date for hubby and I. (At this point, husband+wife+only 1 child that can't talk, qualifies as a date).

We were just in time to get a great spot close to the stage. Do I look excited enough about that?

Mac Powell made the entire audience his designated background singers for the night. We sang, we clapped, we jumped, we rocked, and we gave God some praise!

Weekend Highlights
Our weekend in Ohio was fabulous and it was topped off by a wonderful Mother's Day! Here were a few highlights:
- Mini Reunion: Hubby and I reconnected with some our dearest out of town friends at the wedding and reception. Here is a picture of us (notice our girls playing in the background:)
- Mother's Day Morning Run: Hubby got the children ready for church, while I made a kid-free coffee run and visited with my mom.
- My Surprise Gift: Hubby outdid himself again! Guess who's going to see Third Day live in concert!

Noah: The Beginning
Our newest arrival turned 6 weeks old yesterday! Seeing as he's so irresistibly adorable, and since I'm trying to do a better job at documenting our family's most precious moments, I thought I'd take a stab at creating a video of Noah's first 6 weeks using iMovie.
I really haven't had any experience using IMovie before, so I was proud of the fact that I was not only able to add sound, but that I even got as far as posting it on YouTube! Not bad for a novice eh? (Ahem...I just won't tell you how long it took me;)

New CD/DVD "Live Revelations" Now Available

Perhaps you remember this post, when I explained how big of a Third Day fan I am. I actually downloaded some of their music to a cd and listened to it during my labor and delivery.
A while back and signed up for their email list, and it just so happens, that yesterday I received a notice that they have a new cd/dvd available! I'm yet to be disappointed with any of their music I've purchased, so I thought I'd let you know, so you can be blessed by it too!
Are there any other Third Day fans out there? Holla!

Third Day
Let me draw your attention to the bottom of screen. Go ahead....look. Down there is a video bar powered by You Tube. If you click on one the pictures you will hear a song by christian rock band,Third Day. My hubby and kids bought me their Chronology Volume 2 cd for Mother's Day (and a ipod shuffle to put it on might I add;) These were two gifts I had been wanting for some time.
I usually listen to contemporary or traditional gospel music and although I enjoy a hand-clappin' foot-stompin' good time just like the next person, I sometimes feel the need to change things up a bit. Third Day produces the perfect blend of an upbeat sound accompainied by meaningful, soul nourishing lyrics. Go ahead and click on one of the pictures to enjoy the uplifting lyrics along with great music in the background. You can learn more about Third Day and buy their music here.
I am yet to get a chance to listen to all of the songs on the cd I have, but here are my most favorite songs by Third Day so far:
#1. "Your Love Oh Lord" (Brilliant!)
#2 "Show me your Glory" (More Brilliant!)
#3 "Mountain of God" (The Most Brilliant of them all!)
#4 "You are so good to me" (My husbands favorite)
You can listen to all of these on You Tube as well.
