Hubby and I rarely agree when it comes to baby names. So, when we both instantly fell in love with this one, we decided to stick with it!
Noah: The boy's name Noah \noah\ is pronounced NOH-ah. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "peaceful." Also possibly "long-lived", "comforter", or "wanderer."
But Noah found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord. ~Genesis 6:8
I love it! Our next boy will be Benjamin (if God blesses us with another boy someday). I love Biblical names, but Mike only has a few that he likes, so I'm taking what I can get (Benjamin and Rachel).
ReplyDeleteExcellent choice! Caleb would also be good but alas ... it is taken! Can't wait to see little Noah online! I am praying for a safe and expedient delivery.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteI like Noah. Its not very common but its not weird and unheard of either. I know how hard it can be to find a name that both mom and dad like:)
ReplyDeleteGod richly bless you with this birth!
ReplyDeleteNoah is a great name. We have names for babies. If we were to have a boy, his name would be Gabriel Michael. A girl, her name would be Hosanna Rose. We just agreed on a girls name yesterday at church during worship. Ex:
ReplyDeleteHosanna, Hosanna
Jesus died and rose again
BTW, I'm not pregnant. lol
I love that name, too! Our friends just named their son, Noah. Don't feel bad; it's not too popular (that's not why I told you), but just to say that I love it and I think it's such a great, solid name!!! Not too popular, not too unfamiliar. Just great! Glad you chose it. Can't wait to meet him! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! It was on my list of boy's names, but the hubs wanted his firstborn son to be named after his dad, so Aron it was (still biblical though, just spelled differently). Gabriella is from Gabriel as well, so we will choose a biblical name for the next if God chooses to bless us with another child.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful family and a lovely blog! I love the conversation with a stranger that you posted earlier. I had to laugh because we have similar conversations when we are out! Oh, and Noah is a wonderful, strong name. Congratulations and blessings!
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteI love what you are doing here. This will help you, make the baby years go by, although we would not want to rush these years they're some of the best. This is sort of like a journal, but with others to share with you. This is encouraging. The name fits your family. Noel,Belle&Noah
ReplyDeleteI love the name Noah--but for a girl. (Numbers 26,27, and 36) But my husband is not convinced. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the name! Great pick!
ReplyDeleteI've already got some names picked out and I'm not even married yet. :P Hopefully, my future husband will enjoy them, as well.
Oh...I think Noah is adorable. I have a Nathan so I love N names.
ReplyDeleteHey everyone! Thanks for all the "Noah" love!
ReplyDeleteNoah!!! What a lovely name... Peaceful.. I hope your Noah will be just his name..:)
ReplyDeleteOh, I thought I'd let you know- there's a really cool song by the Statler Brothers called "Noah Found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord". It's not the kind of music I usually listen to, but I think it's a fun song. Check it out sometime!
ReplyDeleteHey I love the name! A sister from MI at my home church named her son that sorta (Gregory-after the dad and his middle name is Noah) but we call him Noah and she's expecting her third chid now too!
ReplyDeleteLove ya!
i've also read that Noah means: comfort, rest, not broken, made whole.
ReplyDeletegreat photo.
